Bowmen of Ardleigh awarded a coaching grant form Archery GB onTarget scheme |

The Bowmen of Ardleigh have been awarded a grant by the Archery GB ontarget scheme to train a new Level 1 coach and upgrade an existing Level 1 coach to Level 2. Archery GB received applications totalling £49,000 for £30,000 of available funding for the first phase of grants in 2011. Bowmen of Ardleigh are one of 46 clubs awarded funding. An email has been sent to all members asking if they are interested in becoming a level 1 coach, if you have not received the email and are interested please talk to a member of the committee or speak to Simon Wiehe at the AGM. Bowmen of Ardleigh has recently become a member of ontarget, Archery GB’s new Club Development Programme. Clubs joining ontarget are making a public pledge to be open and friendly, to advance archery and to proactively work with Archery GB and in return clubs will be recognised, rewarded and given support, guidance and advice to develop and improve.

On Friday March 18th 2011 the Bowmen of Ardleigh will once again be holding a Red Nose Day event for Comic Relief. Previous years have been well supported and we look forward to this year being as popular as ever. Members are encouraged to wear something red for the evening and we will be holding a raffle, all proceeds going to Comic Relief. If you have any raffle prizes you wish to donate they will be welcomed. |
